Get to Know Us
Following the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, the United States Olympic Committee (now the USOPC) awarded a $1,000,000 gift to support field hockey in the U.S. Thanks to the strategic leadership and stewardship of the Foundation Board that original gift nearly doubled in size over the next three decades, providing consistent annual support to USA Field Hockey. In 2013, the Foundation adopted a trustee model, aligning with best practices across other successful National Governing Bodies (NGBs).

Since then, the Trustees have played a vital role in advancing the sport by expanding revenue streams, launching capital campaigns, and growing the endowment. They also provide targeted grants that strengthen key programs, including the national women’s, men’s, junior, and indoor teams. Today, the Foundation is building strong momentum in support of field hockey’s return to the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028.

Laying the GroundWORk
Our deepest passion from the beginning in 1985 has been to support and grow the sport of field hockey in the United States through dedicated fundraising, stewardship, and community engagement. We hold a strategic advantage as our board operates with strong cooperation and efficiency, each tied to the sport of field hockey in one way or another.
By focusing on creating connections, sharing our story, and hosting impactful events we aim to build resources and endowments that elevate our sport. We are dedicated to aligning our passion for hockey with exceptional fundraising and relationship-building.
Our Team
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
The USA Field Hockey Foundation has a mission-driven focus: to foster deep connections with current and past USA field hockey players, teams, coaches, umpires and a network of dedicated sponsors and volunteers. Our very respected leadership, most significantly Executive Director, Pam Stuper, enhances engagement and trust within the hockey community.

We are recognized for our trustworthiness and singular focus on fundraising which resonates with stakeholders and donors alike. With the growing popularity of women’s sports and LA28 Olympics just a few years away, we are excited to broaden our reach and ensure the long-term establishment of our mission.
Join us as we pave a new pathway and strengthen our identity to build a thriving Foundation for future generations.
